Project 52, Week 21: Slip and Slide

Carter has been staying up late. Well we put him in his crib around 9, but he hasn't been falling asleep until 11 or so. He's happy in there, but just won't go to sleep. We were thinking it was due to a later nap time. So on Sunday, we decided to skip nap (gasp!!) in hopes of fixing this problem. We knew there better be some fun to be had during said nap time or it would not be fun for anyone involved. Hence backyard extravaganza was born (and named by Trev).

I'll start with my picture of the week (but get ready for picture overload)

So first we had some fun with the hose

Then it was time for the slip and slide!

I think it was a success!!

We also decided to put his slide into the pool. This was the biggest success of the day. Carter probably slid into the pool 50 times. And he laughed every time!

And I just love this next ones

I got a 75-300 lens, so I took all of these pictures with it. It's a little hard to get a sharp photo when it's at full length but overall I liked it!! It's not very useful inside since it doesn't let much light in, but I really liked it for outside. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Project 52, Week 20

Sometimes it's just fun to sit in the toy box!

While celebrating some birthdays recently, Carter decided to be the elf to hand out presents. It was pretty cute; he would get so excited to do it!

And he was very generous with his hugs!!

Hopefully he'll have more interest in opening presents at his 2nd birthday party than he did at his first. It shouldn't be hard to beat since he opened zero presents at the first! He was too concerned with climbing the stairs. I can't believe he will be 2 in less than 2 weeks!

Hope everyone is having a good week and staying safe with bad weather around us.

Project 52, Week 19

During some nice weather last week, we made an evening trip to the nature center. I was scouting locations for the future but got some very cute pictures this time around! In this picture he is looking at the turtles in the pond.

Doing what he does best: walk away from one of us. At least he happened to look back once!

Looking at more turtles and ducks

Have a wonderful week! I'm linking up with Sweet Shot Tuesday!

Project 52, Week 18

We celebrated Kenetha's birthday last weekend and had lots of fun! I thought I would share some pictures from the day, and there are a lot of them!

I am going out of order, but I just love this picture of Kenetha with Carter and Samantha.

Of course Carter is holding two cars, but I just love the kids' expressions in it!

Carter and Samantha were giving out lots of kisses, both regular sloppy baby kisses and eskimo kisses :)

Carter and Samantha play very well together, although I attribute this to Samantha's easy going nature. Carter is a bit of a toy stealer, but Samantha doesn't mind. Actually, she usually just walks away from a toy if she see Carter coming!

Look at the smile!! Such a happy little girl!

Bob got quite the workout. Kenetha gave Carter a big ball and it became the entertainment as Bob took turns bouncing the kids on it. Samantha thought this was so fun, and loved it even more when Carter bounced!

I love this picture. Samantha is just staring at Carter, like "Are you going to let me play now?"

Hope all of the mom's had a great day yesterday! Enjoy the week!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy mother's day to all of the moms out there! And especially to my mom, thank you. I can't list all of the things to thank you for, there are just too many. So I'm simply saying thank you for everything.
